Dr. Wanda J. Hayes is the Assistant Vice President for Learning & Organizational Development at Emory University in Atlanta, GA. In her role, she is responsible for the development and implementation of a learning strategy that includes executive, management, and employee development, e-learning, and executive coaching. She is also responsible for organizational development at Emory, which includes talent management, performance management, change management, employee engagement, and team building. She works closely with Emory’s senior leadership to align the learning strategy with the talent management strategy for the University. Under Wanda’s leadership, Emory University has been recognized as a “LearningElite Organization” by Chief Learning Officer Magazine for ten years in a row, as well as receiving other national awards for their leadership programs. Prior to her work at Emory, she held positions at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, BellSouth Corporation, the University of South Carolina – Aiken, and as an independent consultant.
Wanda earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, and a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, all from the University of Georgia. She is active in her community, and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Share the Magic Foundation and as a volunteer with the Atlanta Weimaraner Club Rescue.
